U.S. Small Business Administration’s Allen Gutierrez Visits WFW

The visit followed Workshops for Warriors’ recent award of the SBA MaTCH Grant

Allen Gutierrez, Associate Administrator of the Office of Entrepreneurial Development in Washington, D.C., visited Workshops for Warriors (WFW) Founder & CEO Hernán Luis y Prado and toured the WFW facilities on December 5, 2019. An advocate for current and aspiring business owners, Mr. Gutierrez is the former national executive director of The Latino Coalition (TLC) and a champion of initiatives that help Hispanics achieve business ownership.

Workshops for Warriors was recently named recipient of the SBA MaTCH Grant. By visiting WFW, Allen Gutierrez witnessed firsthand how the SBA award benefits WFW’s work. The SBA grant is aimed to address our country’s job skills and placement gap by providing funding to create or expand programs that offer job-specific and soft skills training. WFW was honored to be named winner of the award, and proud to be recognized for its mission of rebuilding America’s advanced manufacturing sector by training, certifying, and placing veterans into advanced manufacturing careers.
