Message from WFW Founder & CEO Hernán Luis y Prado

Dear Friends,

I am thrilled to share that my wife, Rachel, was selected as one of San Diego Business Journal’s 50 Most Influential Women over 50 as a result of her work as Workshops for Warriors’ CFO & Chief Academic Officer!

Rachel is too humble to say anything herself, however, she earned two master’s degrees in international & intercultural communications and another one in survey methodology and statistics…while working full-time.  On a personal note, while working so hard to improve herself and our family, fourteen years ago she selflessly agreed to sell all of our possessions and liquidate our entire savings and retirement accounts to help my brothers and sisters-in-arms get an opportunity to achieve the American Dream. 

This is a dream many of you now share with us…a dream to give every veteran an opportunity for a dignified career while rebuilding America’s Advanced Manufacturing Force.

As a result of your support and donations coupled with Rachel’s intelligence, humility, selflessness, and perseverance, 1,032 veterans are now working in advanced manufacturing careers in every state of our nation…making an average of $60,000 a year after graduating from Workshops for Warriors.
