On September 13, 2024, Workshops for Warriors celebrated a monumental step forward with the groundbreaking ceremony for a new VetPowered Advanced Manufacturing Facility and Workshops for Warriors Training Center. The event marked a significant milestone in our mission to provide veterans and transitioning service members with cutting-edge training and career opportunities in advanced manufacturing.
The ceremony had an enthusiastic crowd that included community leaders, alumni, and supporters. Special guests in attendance included Mayor Todd Gloria, Councilmember Vivian Moreno, Councilmember Henry L. Foster III, and representatives from the Clark Foundation. Founder and CEO Hernán Luis y Prado spoke passionately about the impact of the new center on the local workforce and economy.
Following the groundbreaking, guests were invited to an open house at the Workshops for Warriors headquarters, where they enjoyed refreshments and explored the existing programs and facilities. Attendees engaged with current students and staff, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
