Benefits for Veterans
Post-9/11 GI Bill®
Workshops for Warriors accepts the Post-9/11 GI Bill (also referred to as the VA Post 911 Bill). Eligible students who have questions about the Post 911 benefits should call our admissions team at (619) 550-1620.
For more information about financial benefits available to veterans through the U.S. Department of Veterans of Affairs, including the VA Post 911 Bill requirements, and to apply for GI Bill benefits, visit benefits.va.gov.
GI Bill is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The GI Bill of Rights was signed into law by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1944.
Veteran Readiness and Employment
Veterans and active duty service members may be eligible for support services through the VA’s Veteran Readiness and Employment program, in addition to the benefits provided by the Post 911 Bill. For details, visit benefits.va.gov/vocrehab.

Scholarships
Thanks to the generosity of private donors and our corporate partners, tuition scholarships are available for veterans and transitioning service members to become trained and certified in our advanced manufacturing programs.
Housing
Our training facility is located in San Diego, CA. If commuting to our school is not feasible but you would still like to train at Workshops for Warriors, please call our admissions team to discuss housing options at (619) 550-1620.
Cost
For all students, regardless of veteran status, there is an out-of-pocket expense for personal protective equipment and training books which will vary depending on your chosen program. The approximate out-of-pocket cost for our Welding Program is $300. The approximate out-of-pocket cost for our Machining Program is $50.
For our civilian students, the cost varies from $119 to $179 per class hour, depending on your chosen program.
