Workshops for Warriors Accredited Test Facility (ATF)

Workshops for Warriors is proud to host an American Welding Society (AWS) Accredited Test Facility (ATF). It’s main building at 2970 Main Street in San Diego, Calif., 92113. Services provided include certification testing and practice sessions, including supervisory staff, welding booth rental, and materials (personal protective equipment not provided).

Testing is by appointment only; no walk-ins allowed.

About Accredited Test Facilities

An American Welding Society (AWS) Accredited Test Facility (ATF) is a qualified organization that has proven it meets the AWS’s high standards for equipment, personnel, and a quality assurance program to administer welding performance tests for the widely recognized AWS Certified Welder credential. These facilities are authorized to conduct tests to industry standards, with successful candidates receiving a nationally recognized certification.

Pricing and Fees

The Accredited Test Facility at Workshops for Warriors offers tests following the American Welding Society (AWS) D1.1 Structural Welding Code – Steel or (AWS) B.2.1. Specification for Welding Procedure and Performance Qualification.

Test pricing is offered at different rates for Workshops for Warriors students/alumni, U.S. military veterans, and civilians (AWS application processing fee of $60 not included). Practice rates are $100/hour regardless of affiliation and includes an instructor, materials, and booth (required personal protective gear not included).
