“Workshops for Warriors Puts U.S. Veterans Where They’re Most Needed”

Karen Pearlman of the San Diego Business Journal visited Workshops for Warriors in April. She spoke with Navy veteran Josh Mazariegos, an alumni of Workshops for Warriors’ machining program who was hired by the organization as a teaching assistant. “I came in not really knowing anything about running machines and now I’m 110% confident,” Joshua told Karen.

Hernán Luis y Prado, Workshops for Warriors’ Founder & CEO, also spoke with Karen for her article that’s featured in the May 8, 2023 edition of SDBJ. He spoke about why he started the school, which is the only of its kind turning veterans and transitioning service members into America’s next advanced manufacturing workforce.
