When transitioning out of the Marines, Pablo lacked the camaraderie and security of the military and struggled to translate his experience into the civilian workforce. His desire to educate himself and do something he loved led him to Workshops for Warriors. “I look for pathways that would make me more successful. And I also wanted to pick a pathway and stuff I liked to do. I’ve always loved building things… I love the world of manufacturing. It is not easy to learn that real fast.”

Our CNC Machining program offered Pablo the opportunity to learn in-demand skills, such as CAD/CAM programming, Robotics Integration, and 3D Printing. “Design for manufacturing was one of the key takeaways I took away from Workshops for Warriors because I understood programs and the tools. The tools there were extraordinary.” This gave Pablo the confidence and motivation to continue his education further, earning a bachelor’s degree in design engineering technology. Surrounded by fellow veterans at Workshops for Warriors made Pablo feel like part of a team again, with each member encouraging and motivating one another to reach their full potential. The sense of belonging not only boosted his confidence but also ignited a passion for a career path that allowed him to pursue his goals, both personally and professionally.

At Workshops for Warriors, we are on a mission to create lasting change, but we can’t do it alone. We need compassionate partners like you who believe in the potential of every veteran and who understand that giving back is about more than money—it’s about restoring hope, pride, and opportunity to those who deserve it most.

Please consider supporting Workshops for Warriors with a gift before the end of the year. If you are interested in touring our facilities or would like to reach out to us personally, please call (619) 550-1620. Together, we will Rebuild American Manufacturing, One Veteran at a Time®.
