Our Training & Certification Programs

Workshops for Warriors provides accelerated 16-week training programs in CNC machining and welding. Intermediate and advanced programs are available for eligible students. All WFW students earn nationally-recognized credentials in their chosen field and have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with top employers from across the United States.

Machining for Warriors

After finishing the Workshops for Warriors Machining 1 Program, students will gain the skills to operate machinery confidently and meet the highest industry standards in Machining, Measurement, Materials and Safety, Job Planning, Benchwork and Layout, Grinding, Computer Numerical Control, and CAD/CAM. Get ready to excel in these essential areas and unlock limitless possibilities in the world of machining.

Welding for Warriors

Upon successfully completing the Workshops for Warriors Welding 1 Program, students will master three essential welding processes: SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW, and become qualified to meet all required welding standards. Get ready to ignite your welding career as you gain the expertise and confidence to excel in the world of welding. Join us and unleash your welding potential today!

Enrollment Requirements & Steps to Enroll

Workshops for Warriors’ welding and CNC machining training programs run for an accelerated 16 weeks, and we offer three semesters per year.

General enrollment requirements are as follows:

  • The student must pay all applicable fees, as per the current published fee schedule, at the time of the signing or entering into an enrollment contract or make other arrangements acceptable to the Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE).
  • A high school degree, GED, or a copy of a DD214 form is required.

Attend orientation at Workshops for Warriors.

Submit 1) a copy of a state-issued ID card, driver’s license or passport; 2) a copy of high school diploma, GED, or if a veteran, a copy of DD214 form (member-4).

Financial & Other Resources

There are several ways to pay for tuition at Workshops for Warriors! Military veterans and their dependents may qualify for veteran benefits. If you are active duty and transitioning out of the military, Workshops for Warriors is a DoD SkillBridge eligible program. Click on the boxes below for more information about available resources.
Medical Premium Covered 50% by Workshops for Warriors based on employee’s chosen plan. Dental and Vision Premium Covered 100% by Workshops for Warriors. Chiropractic and Acupuncture Insurance available at no additional premium.

The Chapter 33 Post-9/11 GI Bill helps veterans and their families pay for post-secondary education.

Workshops for Warriors is a GI Bill eligible program. If you or your parent has served in the military, you may be eligible for veteran benefits. To check your GI Bill eligibility status, visit the Veterans Affairs website here.

Workshops for Warriors accepts the Chapter 30 Montgomery GI Bill® Active Duty (MGIB-AD) and Chapter 1606 Montgomery GI Bill® Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR). For more information and to see if you are eligible, click here.

Veterans and active duty service members may be eligible for support services through the VA’s Chapter 31 Veteran Readiness and Employment program. For details, visit benefits.va.gov/vocrehab.

Workshops for Warriors accepts Dependents’ Education Assistance (Chapter 35) benefits from the VA. Thanks to the generosity of private donors and our corporate partners, tuition scholarships are available for qualified veterans and transitioning service members to become trained and certified in our advanced manufacturing programs.
 

Nuts, Bolts, and Thingamajigs offers scholarships up to $3,500 to students pursuing careers training in manufacturing.

There are two steps to apply:

1) Answer a two-question application and

2) provide a copy of your high school or college transcript.
